3 things to know before buying a Ford Maverick pickup truck | Rare Techy

[ad_1]
There is no doubt about the popularity of the Ford Maverick pickup truck. This little truck took the market by storm when it was first introduced, and the Blue Oval just can’t seem to keep up with demand. If you haven’t placed an order for a 2023 Maverick, you’re probably out of luck. But you might still be interested in a Ford compact pickup truck. What should you know about Maverick?
The Ford Maverick is available in three trim levels
Although it’s a Ford small truck, the Maverick shares its equipment with other Blue Oval trucks, such as the F-150. Available trim levels include XL, XLT and Lariat. The Ford Maverick XL is arguably the most basic version of this pickup truck. It has a starting price of $22,195.
Although the XL is the base model, you can equip it with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine to give you more power. A notable change from the 2022 model is the addition of standard cruise control, which for some reason Ford initially added.
The next step is the Maverick XLT. This model is slightly more expensive, but you get more standard equipment. This includes keyless entry and storage in the truck bed. In addition, the XLT opens the door to the FX4 Off-Road package and the Tremor package.
The most expensive version of the Maverick is known as the Lariat. It has more convenience features and aluminum wheels.
By 2023, the EcoBoost engine will no longer be an additional cost
The Ford Maverick is noteworthy because it comes standard with a hybrid engine. If you want more power and four-wheel drive, you can equip this pickup with a turbocharged engine.

You still have to pay extra for the AWD system, but now Ford offers the EcoBoost engine at no extra cost. And that could be a tipping point for those interested in this little truck.
The 2023 Ford Maverick has a special off-road package
Now you might think that a unibody truck has no place on the tracks. But Ford is trying to prove otherwise. According to Car and Driver, the 2023 Maverick has an optional package known as Tremor.

The Tremor package is only available on Maverick XLT and Maverick Lariat. You also need to equip your small truck with an EcoBoost engine and AWD. The AWD system gets some tweaks from the Tremor package, and the 2023 Maverick gets a one-inch lift.
One of the coolest tech features is Ford’s Trail Control system. Think of this feature as cruise control, but for off-road driving. A Tremor Appearance package is also available for a more aggressive looking truck.
Can you order the 2023 Ford Maverick?
Unfortunately, if you want a new Maverick pickup, you’re probably out of luck. Orders for this model filled up so quickly that the Blue Oval was forced to shut them down pretty quickly, according to Ford Authority.
