About 3,700 teaching and non-teaching staff of the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission will appear for the 2022 promotion examination in the state, the Commission’s Press Secretary, Olajide Abolarin, said in a statement.

In a statement, the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has approved the 2022 promotion examinations for all categories of teaching and non-teaching staff of TESCOM.

As part of the commitment of the Governor Abdul Razak administration to raise the standard of education in the state, 3,700 TESCOM employees who are due for the next cadre will be put through promotion tests, including oral and written tests.

According to the statement, TESCOM Chairman Bello Tawheed-Abubakar commended the governor for his commitment to the welfare of workers in the state, especially his investment in the education sector.

Chairman informed that the exam and interview schedule will be released in due course.

Abubakar, however, urged TESCOM employees to reciprocate the gesture by being more committed to their duties and joining hands with the administration to make its education policies successful.

Abdul Razak’s administration last year paid cash-backed promotion dues for teachers for 2015, 2016 and 2017 and also approved the promotion of 7,493 TESCOM employees for 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 respectively.
