A303: Woman injured after Ford S Max overturns near Basingstoke | Rare Techy

A WOMAN was injured when her car overturned on a major road near Basingstoke on Sunday evening, November 28.

According to police, a 41-year-old man was driving a Ford S Max which crashed on the A303 eastbound between the A34 Sutton Scotney and the A30 near Basingstoke.

One lane was partially closed for a couple of hours after the accident.

Police brought traffic to a complete standstill around 9pm to help recover the car.

A spokesman for Hampshire Police said: “Police were called at 8.40pm on Sunday November 27 to reports of a collision involving a single vehicle, a Ford S Max, on the A303.

“A 41-year-old woman from Basingstoke was injured.”

A spokesman for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters from Whitchurch, Andover and Basingstoke were called to the A303 eastbound after an RTC saw one car on its roof.

“Ambulance colleagues attended and the fire department made the scene safe.

“Stop message received 21.14.”

South Ambulance Service has been contacted for further information.
