Adani total gas and HPCL will be replaced by these 2 shares in the next Sensex 50 index | Rare Techy

As part of its periodic review that takes place semiannually in June and December, the 30-share BSE index has announced a rejig in its constituents. The index includes several highly valued and liquid companies in India.
The Sensex Next 50 index is designed to measure the performance of the next 50 largest and most liquid stocks after the S&P 50 constituents in the S&P BSE LargeMidCap.
In recent rejig, Daya Adani (NS:) is set to replace Adani Total Gas (NS:) and India Hotels (NS:) Company Ltd will take over Hindustan Petroleum (NS:) Corporation Limited place in the index. A similar change will also take place in the BSE 100 index.
Asia Index Private Limited which is responsible for the reconstitution announced that the change will take effect from Monday, December 19, 2022.
Asia Index is a joint venture of S&P Indices LLC, the world’s largest financial market index provider, and the BSE. Under the umbrella of the S&P BSE Index brand, the company is best known for calculating, publishing, and maintaining a diverse family of Asian indices.
On Monday afternoon, shares of Adani (NS: ) Power Ltd were trading 1 percent lower at Rs 332 while shares of Indian Hotels Company Ltd were trading in the green at Rs 316.
In addition, Tata Motors (NS:) is set to replace Dr. Reddy Laboratory in Sensex. Further, no change is recommended in S&P BSE SENSEX 50 and S&P BSE BANKEX Index.
