DETROIT, December 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Car blog announces its 2022 Technology Awards, recognizing Ford’s on-board weights and Smart Hatch towing and towing features available on the F-150. Ford’s towing and towing technology beat GMC Hummer’s CrabWalk and Genesis’ biometric facial recognition and fingerprint technology.
“Ford’s smart towing and hauling features won our award this year because they’re easy to use, easy to understand and simply make your life as a truck owner better.” Car blog Head editor Greg Migliore said. “It was a very competitive field this year, with Hummer’s CrabWalk and Genesis’ biometric features both gaining strong traction. But Ford came out on top with smart technologies that are well-executed and should stand the test of time.”
Car blog editors will be testing the latest in-vehicle technologies throughout the year, culminating in an extensive group evaluation in October.
The Ford’s towing and hauling equipment earned 123 points, ahead of the Hummer (117 points) and the GV60 (108). This is the second win in a row for Ford, which won the 2021 award with its Pro Power Onboard charging feature.
Ford joins Tesla (2014, 2016) as the only two-time winners Car blogTech of the Year Award, first presented in 2013.
