MANILA, Philippines – Members of South Korean idol groups Blackpink and BTS were asked questions with similar names in the 2022 bar exams, prompting netizens to take to social media to express their surprise.

The bar exams had sections where candidates were given situations to answer with essay-type responses. The Supreme Court (SC) published the official exam on Sunday.

The company BTS appeared in the commercial law section of the exam and fans believe it is the name of the famous boy band.

“BTS Corp. Yoongi, the director of PH, and its main supplier, Hybe, Inc. bought substantial shares of Hybe, Inc. When BTS Corporation’s contracts were taken over by the PH board, Yoongi didn’t just vote for their approval. Influenced other directors. Later, Hybe, Inc. The contracts turned out to be unfavorable to BTS Corporation PH and resulted in substantial losses,” the examination stated.

Incidentally, Min Yoongi, who goes by the stage name Suga, is a member of BTS.

Meanwhile, a question referring to Blackpink’s Jenny and Lisa and their label YG appeared on the criminal law portion of the bar exams.

“Jenny obtained a fire insurance from YG Insurance Company (YG). In payment of the policy, she issued a post-dated check payable to Php 15,000.00 which was handed over to Lisa, YG’s sales agent. Lisa did not send the check to YG. Instead, Lisa deposited it in her husband’s bank account, but the check was dishonored for being drawn from a closed account,” the exam question read.

This led netizens to believe that these questions were referring to their idols.

“There is a question about BTS in the bar exam. Supreme Court Confirmed JK ½ is an Army, a netizen tweeted, BTS fans call themselves Army.

Another netizen said, “Jenlisa got the rolls for the criminal law bar exam today. The Supreme Court would be like: Blackpink in our area!!”

9,207 people appeared across the country on the first day of this year’s bar exam on November 9, while 9,196 appeared on the second test day on November 13.
