Blockchain Experts Headline SBI Media Workshop 2022 | Rare Techy

The 2022 edition of the SBI Media Workshop, an annual event focused on training young Nigerian media entrepreneurs, is expected to see presentations from five speakers from leading technology companies across the bloc and the technology ecosystem.
In a statement by Rotimi Bankole, founder of the workshop and CEO of SBI Media, facilitators include thought leaders such as Opeyemi Awoyemi, co-founder, Fast Forward Venture Studio, job listing site Jobberman, and local Nigerian web hosting company Whogohost.
The workshop, the third since it was launched in 2020 by SBI Media, a Nigerian multinational media planning and buying agency, is scheduled to hold on December 3 at the Radisson Hotel Ikeja, Lagos. This year’s theme, said the organizers. “Media in the Blockchain Era”.
Others are Fisayo Fosudo, a tech media entrepreneur; Nsikan Benjamin, senior manager at Binance West Africa; Tolulope Aderemi, partner at Lagos law firm, Perchstone & Graeys; Emmanuel Ebanehita, senior manager at Binance Africa; Chris Ani, CEO, Digital Abundance Holdings Limited; and Ugochukwu Obi, also a partner at Perchstone & Graeys.
Speaking on the selection of facilitators, Bankole explained that his team aims for depth of knowledge and experience. “We want the training to be meaningful for our participants who want to build successful careers in this media industry. The selection process was rigorous and I am happy with our titles this year, because they are minds in the business of technology and blockchain. They show the best. Moreover, they have shown remarkable ability to guide and inspire the next generation,” said Bankole.
Participants of the event, Bankole noted, will be able to participate in in-depth sessions with these blockchain experts and delve into topics such as the basics of blockchain, blockchain as a real platform for African creators in media and entertainment, and future business opportunities in blockchain. legal guidelines, and case studies that tell African success stories.
