The Indian Institute of Technology, Bangalore has concluded the CAT 2022 exam on November 27. MBA exams like CMAT, XAT, IIFT MBA, SNAP and MAT have equal value to CAT exam.
Common Admission Test (CAT) is a highly competitive exam and is taken by thousands of students every year. This year alone 2,22,184 appeared for the exam and 2,56,885 registered.

MBA entrance exams other than CAT

XAT (Xavier Admission Test)
Xavier Admission Test (XAT) is a national level MBA entrance test conducted annually for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes. Most business schools in the country accept XAT results.
The XAT exam will consist of five components in total: Essay Writing, General Knowledge, Verbal and Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability and Data Interpretation.
Applicants have to pay Rs. 2000 as registration fee for taking XAT in 2023. XAT registration fee can be paid through credit or debit card, UPI or online banking.

SIMAT (Common Management Admission Test)
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a nationwide entrance exam for management programs in the country. SIMAT score is recognized by some of the leading business schools in India including Great Lakes Institute of Management, JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya Mumbai, Velingar Mumbai and PumBA.
SIMAT is a 100 question question paper including Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Candidates have to pay INR 2,000 (for general category men) or INR 1,000 to take CMAT (for general category women or reserved category students).
IIFT MBA (IB)
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) at Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada provides the IIFT exam as a management aptitude test for admission to its MBA International Business programme.
IIFT MBA question paper will have questions on Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness.
IIFT 2023 Registration Cost for General and OBC Category Candidates Rs. 2,500 and reserved category applicants have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 1250.

SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test)
Symbiosis International (Deemed) University conducts Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), a standardized aptitude test. For admission to MBA and PGDM programs offered by its 15 constituent institutes, the SNAP exam is conducted.
General English, quantitative-data interpretation and data sufficiency, analytical and logical reasoning are all covered in the 60 questions included in the SNAP exam.
Candidates have to register and pay a registration fee of Rs.100. 1950 to take the SNAP exam. Candidates can pay the SNAP registration fee using a credit or debit card, UPI or online banking.

MAT (Management Aptitude Test)
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national entrance exam conducted by All India Management Association. Candidates seeking admission to MBA or PGDM programs take the MAT exam.
The exam is conducted four times in a year in the months of February, May, September and December. The MAT exam is given in three different formats: Paper Based (PBT), Computer Based (CBT) and Remotely Proctored (IBT).
The MAT exam paper will include questions on Language Comprehension, Data Analysis, Aptitude, Mathematics (Quantitative Aptitude, Intelligence, Critical Reasoning), Indian and Global Environments.
Candidates have to shell out Rs 1,850 (additional Rs 1,100 for the second test mode) to take the MAT.
