The Ninth Additional District Judge on Monday canceled the bail granted to former minister P. Narayanan in this year’s class 10 examination irregularities and directed him to surrender before the fourth ADJ court by November 30.

Chittoor Onetown Police arrested Narayanan on May 10 on April 27, who was charged under sections 408, 409, 120B and 207 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with irregularities in public examinations, the SP said. events. He was produced before the 4th ADJ court and granted bail on May 11.

Lawyers representing Narayana argued that the former minister had resigned from his position in the Narayana Group of Institutions in 2014.

The Chittoor Police along with the Additional Advocate General of Andhra Pradesh filed a review petition in the 9th ADJ Court at Chittoor.

The police have also booked eight others in the case – two government teachers and six teachers working in the Narayana group of schools. They were arrested between April 30 and May 5 and some were granted bail at various stages.

Senior TDP leader and lawyer Venkatila Surendra Kumar said the concerned court canceled the bail and directed the former minister to appear before the court by November 30. “As there is a month’s time, Narayana’s lawyers will approach the High Court. Appropriate guidelines in this regard,” he said.
