Bhubaneswar, November 30: During the Covid-19 pandemic, the State Government deployed thousands of short-term health workers including Nursing Officers, Pharmacists, Radiographers, Laboratory Technicians, MPHW(M/F) in District Headquarters Hospitals and Medical College Hospitals/Covid care. centers across the state.
Considering the contribution of these short-term healthcare workers during the pandemic, the state government has formulated “Odisha Grant Weightage on Marks in Recruitment Examinations in favor of Short-term Covid-19 Healthcare Workers Rules-2022”.
Health and Family Welfare Secretary Shalini Pandit said as per the rules, short-term Covid-19 health workers engaged for a minimum period of three months will be allowed weightage of 5 per cent additional marks in the next recruitment examination. OSSSC for the posts of Nursing Officers, Pharmacists, Radiographers, Laboratory Technicians and Multi-Purpose Healthcare Workers. This will be a one-time procedure.
Thousands of candidates for the above posts will be benefited by this recruitment exam aspirants. The short-term Covid-19 workers thanked the Chief Minister and the government for this decision.
