DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Major Catherine de la Rey said the four-day bar exams that concluded Sunday were conducted successfully and smoothly with no reported security lapses.
705 lawyers took the exam on November 9, 13, 16 and 20 at the Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) Senior High School Campus in Bangal, this city.
AdDU was one of the three testing sites in Mindanao for the bar exam.
This is the second time that multiple sites across the country are being used for bar exams.
In an interview aired on Davao City Disaster Radio, de la Rey said the perfect coordination between the sectors involved has yielded positive results.
“There was really coordination between the security, the security cluster, the school administration and the members of the Supreme Court who came from Manila to Davao to conduct the examinations,” De La Rey said.
“We are happy to report that the Mindanao-wide bar exams were conducted peacefully here in Davao City, from November 9 to the fourth round exams yesterday, November 20,” she added.
De La Rey said the security measures implemented for the exams proved successful as no arrests or violations of the security protocols implemented across the city by the DCPO were recorded.
De La Rey thanked the security cluster for the cooperation of the public, examinees and members of the Supreme Court for the successful commencement of this year’s bar examinations.
