Jammu, November 21
Jammu Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar on Monday reviewed the preparations for the written examinations conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) for various posts. The Deputy Commissioners were asked to check the past history of the examination centers and the SSPs were directed to deploy adequate number of policemen for checking the candidates and other arrangements.
JKSSB has been in a major controversy due to the scam related to the recruitment of sub-inspectors. The CBI is investigating the matter.
JKSSB Chairman Rajesh Sharma, Jammu SSP Chandan Kohli and others discussed the steps to be taken for fair and smooth conduct of the examinations.
Giving details of the computer-based tests to be held from November 29, the JKSSB chairman said that special centers have been identified in four districts of Jammu division. Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar directed the DCs and SSPs to scrutinize the past history and management of the examination centres.
Kumar directed the concerned SSPs to deploy adequate policemen at the centres.
