According to the provincial government, the diploma exams will begin in April, June and August and will be held for the rest of the school year.
Education Minister Adriana Lagrange confirmed the news on her Twitter account on Monday.
Students who wish to resit the diploma exam in January 2022 but have not taken the course are eligible to register for the resit exam this month.
Students who have been exempted from the diploma examination course, “must sit the diploma examination to obtain the final official marks corresponding to the marks awarded by the new school. The exemptions will not be carried forward.”
Retrospective exemptions are not available to students who have sat the Diploma Examination at the beginning of this academic year or in previous school years.
According to the province’s website, “All fees paid for the January 2022 diploma examinations will be refunded. Refunds will be issued in March 2022.
Due to study disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the weighting of diploma examinations has been temporarily reduced to 10 percent for the 2021/22 academic year only.
