Entrance Exams: Students Resolved Due to Discrepancy of Dates | Rare Techy

Conflicting entrance exam dates is a major problem faced by students. The State Common Entrance Test (CET) examination for various professional courses has started and thousands of students will appear for it. On August 7, candidates will have to make a tough choice between the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and the state CET exam.

Now, many students who had applied for both the exams are demanding that the state CET exam be shifted to another date.

“I have applied for the admission process of two different professional courses under the state CET, the entrance exam of which is scheduled on August 7 and the NATA exam is on the same day. Hence, our request to the CET cell is to postpone the exam,” Mahesh Pathak said in a plea.

Hemant Nemade, another parent, said, “My daughter has applied for both these entrance exams and now if she appears in one exam, the result of the other exam will be in trouble. She will lose the chance to get admission in an entrance exam.

The third session of the Council of Architecture (CoA) NATA exam is going to be held across the country on Sunday, August 7. Only those who clear the NATA entrance exam get admission to the five-year Bachelor of Architecture course.

Meanwhile, a human rights protection and awareness organization today wrote to the Pune division office of the state technical education department seeking postponement of the state CET exams scheduled to be held on August 7.

“Today we have given a letter to the state technical education department office here in Pune, asking for the immediate postponement of the exam scheduled to be held on August 7. We are going to take up this issue on priority basis as it concerns the employment of thousands of students. ” said Shrikant Jogdand, Pimpri Chinchwad President of Human Rights Protection and Awareness Organization.
