Ford’s F-Series pickup truck will be 75 years old in 2023, and to celebrate, the automaker announced the 2023 F-150 Heritage Edition. Models are available in Canada.

The special edition is available in XLT trim and uses the classic two-tone exterior paint scheme popular on Ford trucks in the 1970s and 1980s. The scheme, known as the ABA pattern, included color A on the roof and pillars, color B in the center, and then color A again on the bumpers and lower part of the truck.

Available colors for the 2023 F-150 include Race Red with Carbonized Gray; Atlas Blue with Agate Black; Antimatter blue with carbonized gray; Avalanche with agate black; and Area 51 in agate black.

The interior is available in gray and black with unique seat details, embossed console lid and ’75 Years’ logo on the upper windscreen, center screen start animation and center console. The trucks will be available for order in mid-July and pricing will be announced closer to that date.

Ford introduced its all-new F-Series in 1948, the first major truck redesign in more than a decade and the first use of the F designation. The half-ton model was designated the F-1, while the heavier-duty models ranged from the F-2 to the F-4. The trucks were redesigned for 1953 – Ford Motor Company’s 50th^th anniversary—and renamed the F-100 the F-800. The F-150 was introduced in 1975 as an improved version of the F-100 with a heavier front axle and springs, and the F-100 disappeared after 1983.
