Foremost is the problem of loadshedding, which causes many problems for learners. even though; Basic Education Minister Angie Motshega said she was confident loadshedding would not disrupt the writing of final exams.

While the problem of loadshedding does not affect students when they take exams during the day, there is a significant problem when it comes to studying.

Motshega said matric candidates need to observe their timetables in line with the loadshedding schedule so they can study at night.
