Chandigarh: In the wake of the upcoming Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET), state Chief Secretary Sanjiv Kaushal has directed Deputy Commissioners to impose prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC at all centers in their respective districts. The decision was taken to prevent the use of unfair means and gathering of people during the examination.

  • Gatherings of more than 5 people are prohibited.
  • There will be a ban on processions.
  • Bursting of firecrackers is prohibited.
  • Use of loudspeakers is prohibited.
  • Bands are prohibited during the procession.
  • Unauthorized social gatherings are prohibited.
  • Protests/ hunger strikes are prohibited.

This year more than 3 lakh candidates will participate in HTET conducted by Board of School Education Haryana on 3rd and 4th December 2022. The board has set up around 1,046 examination centers for the examinations.

Sanjeev Kaushal gave the instructions in a virtual meeting with the state’s deputy commissioners in Chandigarh. “For the convenience of visually impaired candidates, they will be given an extra 50 minutes at the rate of 20 minutes per hour during the examination,” the Tribune reported, quoting Kaushal.

Also, their OMR sheet will also be sent by the Central Superintendent in a separate envelope.
