The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2023 registration schedule is expected to be announced by the National Testing Agency. Media reports suggest that the JEE Main 2023 application forms will be released this week and the exams will be held in January and April. However, officials at NTA shared that the JEE Main 2023 1st exam is unlikely to be held before April.

While students are waiting for the official notification, according to the information, it can be said that the JEE Main exam is about 4 months away. Every year lakhs of students appear for the exam and only a few manage to top the exam. While the toppers agree that consistent preparation is key, there are a few things that help their success in the last few months. Here are JEE Main toppers tips on how to crack engineering entrance exam in 4 months.

Toppers Tips to Crack JEE Main 2023: 4 Month Preparation Plan

Start from 11th class

The toppers point out that the stress of board exams does not change months before the exam. While starting the prep-plan, the toppers insist to start with a thorough revision of class 11 syllabus just before starting their class 12 board exam prep. Speaking in an interview, a JEE Main 2019 topper completed his Class 11 revision once in December so that he could focus on the board exams in January and February.

NCERT Textbooks

Although NCERT textbooks do not offer the breadth of practice questions that other reference books provide, NCERT is considered the holy grail for cracking the entrance exam. Toppers start by preparing NCERT textbooks thoroughly. It involves solving each question, reading the chapters carefully and practicing the examples and experiments mentioned in the book.

Mock tests begin

Toppers usually start mock test around 4 to 6 months before the exam. “Just appearing for the mock test is not enough. Analyzing mistakes is important and changing your preparation plan accordingly,” shared Aditya, who cleared JEE Main in the first attempt in 2021. Even experts emphasize mock test and its continuous practice. exam

Time table approach

The time table approach is simply to make a time table of what and how to revise. Although making a time table is important, following the time table will help you crack the exam. When creating a time table, students should include time spent on school (if applicable) along with recess and other activities. Although there is no minimum time, most of the toppers have dedicated 6 hours of self-study (if not more) daily before the exam.

There are many other factors that ensure success. However, the key factors remain faith in your abilities and consistent efforts.
