Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Public Service Commission will conduct more than half of the examinations online within a year, said MK Zakir, the chairman of the Kerala Public Service Commission, who will soon be relieved of his duties. Centers can be set up under each district office and main exams can be conducted online. Exams will depend on at least 50 engineering colleges.
Process is underway to transfer digital images of answer sheets to candidates through their PSC profiles. The Commission hopes that by making the examinations online, the delay in declaration of results and recruitment can be controlled.
Kerala PSC aims to conduct Descriptive Exam in the second phase of main exams. Recruitment for the post of LD Clerk and Last Grade Servant is going on here after conducting a two-stage examination. Zakir also informed that the certificates available in DigiLocker will be checked soon.
In view of the diamond jubilee celebrations of the PSC, the pending works since 2007 were completed. The period between notification of exams and rank list has been reduced to 1-2 years. Zakir added that PSC has sent appointment letters to at least 1,81,647 candidates in the last 6 years.
