A supervisor will be in charge of at least 200 candidates. The appointed invigilators will be responsible for supervising twenty candidates. Principals act as central managers while supervisors and invigilators are recruited from other schools.

According to KNEC, only certified teachers are involved in the activity. To help KNEC effectively implement its mandate, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is set to deploy 250,000 teachers. TSC Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia directed the sub-county executive directors to vet the teachers who will oversee the exercise.

“You need to identify, nominate and vet center managers, supervisors and observers,” Macharia said. KCPE and KPSEA will have multiple choice questions. The exam papers will also have unique features and will not be opened until the exercise begins.

The first Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will be given to Grade 6 learners at the same time Standard 8 students will take the (KCPE) tests. Candidates for KCPE and KPSEA will practice on Friday 25 November and take the exam from Monday 28 November to Wednesday 30 November.
