Halifax will host a big American guest until Tuesday, when the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R Ford and ships from other NATO countries depart from our port.
The USS Gerald R Ford, commissioned in 2017, is making its first port call outside the United States and welcomed members of the media for a tour on Saturday.
The massive flagship, the U.S. Navy’s newest and most advanced aircraft carrier, went through exercises with other NATO ships in the North Atlantic last week on its first sea mission.
