Mumbai: Actress Preity Zinta has penned a heartwarming note to the makers of 1998 film ‘Soldier’ ​​and shared details from the shooting of the film.

She took to Instagram where she shared a clip of the title track ‘Soldier’ ​​featuring herself and Bobby Deol.

She wrote: “Sainikan was my second release but the first film I signed. I was very confused to work with two directors under one name. Thanks Abbas bhai and Mustan bhai for never letting me down.”

“Thank you Rameshji for not being upset with me for leaving the set for over a week to write a psychology exam during the climax shoot in Rajasthan and for this opportunity.”

She thanked Bobby for bringing her into the film.

‘Soldier’ ​​is an action thriller film directed by Abbas-Mustan starring Bobby Deol, Preity Zinta and Rakhi Gulzar.

According to the film’s writer Shyam Goyal, the message is inspired by a true incident in Punjab where a woman has a message etched on her forehead that her husband is a traitor.

Her husband, a soldier, accuses her of cheating and throws her out of the village. The story was already made into a 1989 Tamil film, Thai Nadu, starring Sathyaraj in dual roles.
