‘Soldier’ is an action thriller film directed by Abbas-Mustan starring Bobby Deol, Preity Zinta and Rakhi Gulzar.
According to the film’s writer Shyam Goyal, the message is inspired by a true incident in Punjab where a woman has a message etched on her forehead that her husband is a traitor.
Her husband, a soldier, accuses her of cheating and throws her out of the village. The story was already made into a 1989 Tamil film, Thai Nadu, starring Sathyaraj in dual roles.
