Rewind Weekend Americans Abroad: Adams, Scally, and more | Rare Techy

[ad_1]
Leeds United picked up their second win of the English Premier League season on Saturday with US men’s national team midfielder Tyler Adams returning to action for Jesse Marsch’s side.
Adams played 90 minutes for the Lilywhites in a 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield. It was Adams’ first game since last week’s 3-2 loss to Fulham. The 23-year-old won five of his eight duels from his midfield position, while also making 12 saves and creating one attacking chance. Leeds United’s first league win since August 21 helped the Yorkshire club snap an eight-game winless run and climb out of the relegation zone.
Adams and Leeds United will host AFC Bournemouth on November 5 before visiting Tottenham in their final league match before the World Cup break.
In England, Christian Pulisic started for Chelsea, but the Blues suffered a humiliating loss to Brighton. Norwich City’s Josh Sargent did not dress due to a calf injury.
In Germany, Joe Scally played 90 minutes as Borussia Moenchengladbach lost 2-1 to Union Berlin. Jordan Pefok also started against the field.
In Italy, Weston McKennie played 45 minutes as Juventus won 1-0 against Lecce.
In France, Erik Palmer-Brown started but couldn’t help Troyes prevent PSG from losing.
Elsewhere, Reggie Cannon and Cameron Carter-Vickers both played 90 minutes in their matches. Romain Gall scored one assist for Malmo in the Allsvenskan win. Uly Llanez plays for Austrian team SKN St.
