Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Jae-yong visited partner company DK in Gwangju on October 28 as his first official move after taking office. Lee visited a partner company before the others to emphasize his management motto of partnership.
DK has been a partner of Samsung Electronics for the past 28 years. It offers processed steel products for refrigerators, washers, dryers, and fans.
When the company started trading with Samsung, it posted 750 million won in annual sales and had 10 employees. Last year, its sales reached 215.2 billion won, an increase of 287 times, and the number of employees reached 773, an increase of 77.
Lee’s visit to a partner company showed his desire to fully develop an idea for a future partnership. He has often said that growing together with SMEs and partners is the right way to become the best person in the world.
