Senapati, November 30 (MExN): As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, State Bank of India, Senapati presented a waste disposal truck to the District Solid Waste Management committee, Senapati on November 30.
The truck was handed over to Deputy Commissioner, Senapati, Mahesh Chaudhari by Lunkim Thangboi, General Manager (NW-II), SBI, North-East Circle, in the presence of MLAs L Dikho Mao and J Kumo Sha NGOs, CSOs and a large gathering. public opinion, the branch issued a press release.
In the speech, Thangboi highlighted the role of SBI whose customers consist of small farmers to the largest companies and how it helps in the growth of the country’s economy.
SBI is not only about taking deposits and disbursing loans but also focuses on supporting the needy through various projects that benefit the public, he said. These are done through its CSR activities, he added.
MLA Mao thanked the bank for the initiative, MLA Mao called for better utilization of the vehicle by regular maintenance and ensuring durability while MLA Sha said that SBI’s action will go a long way in building a lasting relationship between the bank and the public.
He also commended the bank for identifying the most pressing need for the town where sanitation and waste management needs major improvement.
