SSLC exam is from March 9 | Rare Techy

The SSLC examinations for the academic year 2022-23 will begin on March 9 and the Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations will begin a day later on March 10.

Public Education Minister V. Shivankutty announced the exam dates on Thursday. The detailed time table will be published along with the exam notification without delay. The minister informed that the SSLC exams will end on March 29 and the SSLC model exam will be held from February 27 to March 3.

More than 450,000 students will appear for the SSLC exam. SSLC evaluation will start on April 3 in 70 camps. 9,762 teachers reach the camps for evaluation duty. Sivankutty said that the exam result will be announced by May 10 and hence the Plus One classes can start at the earliest.

Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary Examinations will be held from March 10 to 30. Plus One, Plus Two Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary Model Examinations will be held from February 27 to March 3. Plus two practical exams will begin. 1st February and Vocational Higher Secondary Practicals on 25th January.

More than nine lakh students will appear for the Plus One and Plus Two Higher Secondary Annual Examinations while 60,000 will appear for the Vocational Higher Secondary Examination.

The Plus Two Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary evaluation will start on April 3 and the result will be declared by May 25. Eighty-two camps will be organized for higher secondary assessment and 24,000 teachers will be deployed to the camps. Vocational Higher Secondary will have eight evaluation camps and around 3,500 teachers will participate in the evaluation camps.

The minister said that the department is making elaborate arrangements for the examinations and announcing the dates in advance. The result will also be declared earlier.

Director of Public Education Jeevan Babu K. ​​said that the plan is to start the Plus One classes before the end of June so that the students have more time to study. Generally, the session of Plus One is delayed by about three months or more.
