Ford has introduced a new Platinum trim to the Ranger, which sits between the Wildtrack and Raptor, with more premium looks and features available in Europe, the UK and Australia. Like the closely related Ford Everest Platinum SUV, the pickup truck comes with fairly generous standard equipment and is only offered with the 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel.
Predictably, it can be said that the new equipment is only available with a two-cab body. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission and Ford’s electronically controlled full-time all-wheel drive system.
The 2023 Ford Ranger Platinum is available to order in Europe, the UK and Australia, with first deliveries expected in May 2023. In Britain, the Platinum costs £44,400 ($53,326) before VAT, which is £5,050 ($6,064) more expensive than the Wildtrak with the same engine/transmission combination and £3,900 ($4,683) cheaper than the Raptor.
