Get ready to be President Ross: Harrison Ford’s MCU debut will see him as the Red Hulk and POTUS in Captain America 4 and Thunderbolts, according to a new rumor.

In one of the biggest casting twists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ford is officially joining the franchise to play General Thaddeus E. “Thunderbolt” Ross, reprising the role once played by the late William Hurt.

She makes her debut in Captain America: New World Order before returning to the Thunderbolts, the MCU’s Suicide Squad alongside the likes of Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and more.

But a new leak says it won’t be the same Thunderbolt Ross we’ve seen before — he’ll be the President of the United States, who’s also the Red Hulk.

Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross is rumored to be the Red Hulk and President of the United States in the MCU

According to scooper and leaker @DanielRPK, Harrison Ford’s character description in Captain America 4 reveals two key details about the movie.

It reads: “Former US Army Lieutenant General and Secretary of State, current President of the United States. Using the siphoned radiation turned Ross into the Red Hulk.

If true, it would be huge for the MCU, but as we move along with the public forgiving or forgetting the chaos that surrounded the Sokovia Accords in Captain America: Civil War, it would make sense.

Red Hulk becomes a comic book anti-hero, so barring any run-ins with Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, it paves the way for the Thunderbolts, a team named after Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross.

With him as president and working with CIA Director Valentine Allegra de Fontaine (Louis-Dreyfus), he could pick whoever he wanted — including US Agent (Wyatt Russell), The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and others.

There’s just one wrinkle: Dermot Mulroney is said to be playing the president in Secret Invasion. Will the fallout from this series lead to a nomination for Ross? Time will tell.
