Guwahati, November 29 (MExN): Vincent Menachery Devassy assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer of State Bank of India (SBI), Guwahati Circle, on 29 November. The Circle covers seven NE States.
According to an official release, Devassy joined SBI as a training officer (1992 batch) and has held various important positions in the bank.
He is a graduate in commerce and also an accredited fellow of the Institute of Bankers of India, she said.
Prior to the current assignment, Devassy was heading ‘All Time Channels’ of SBI’s Corporate Headquarters in Mumbai. ‘Anytime Channels’ manages SBI’s network of ATMs, Swayam Kiosks, Green Channel Collector and Bank Check Deposit Kiosks.
Apart from working in various capacities in states like Kerala, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, Devassy also served as Vice President (PER& ADMIN) of SBI for four years in New York.
A career banker with over 38 years of experience, he has held various positions in various domains including Retail Banking, International Banking, IT and Wealth Management, added the release from SBI Guwahati Circle office.
