Lita saved “Close My Eyes Forever” together as a duet Ozzy Osbourne for his 1988 album “Slut”. It was Ford‘s highest charting single, peaking at number 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1989.

About ten years ago Lita revealed it “Close My Eyes Forever” occurred randomly at night while drinking and stoned while being driven Ozzywoman, Sharon. He reminded Metalist Underground:”“Close My Eyes Forever” there was a mistake. It was just me and Ozzy and Sharon hanging out in the recording studio. They showed up one day and gave me a housewarming gift: a life-size replica Coco, a gorilla from the San Diego Zoo. It was awfully big – I had to strap it to the front seat of my jeep to bring it home. Ozzy remained Sharon got bored and left, and I and Ozzy we had a few drinks and jammed. We started singing, messing around and writing “Close My Eyes Forever”. Next thing I knew, the sun was coming up. I looked at him and said, “Oh, we’re in trouble.” Sharon had waited all night. We were far from the place Ozzy had to go. He said, “Can you drive me home?” I said, “No, I can’t.” We were stoned. He got into the taxi and I fastened the seat belt Coco into my jeep and drove home – barely made it. And then we had this hit song.”

Last month, Lita spoke “The Blairing Out With Eric Blair Show” that he hopes to release his long-awaited new solo album in early 2023. Follow-up in 2012 “Living like a fugitive” was once again the guitarist/producer Gary Hoeywho also plays guitar on the record Forda longtime backing band consisting of a guitarist Patrick Kennisondrummer Bobby Rock and bassist Marty O’Brien.

Last May, bass player Marten Andersson (HEART OF STEEL, LIZZY BORDEN, LYNCH MOB) officially joined Litaa touring band. Andersson replaced O’Brien who recently became a touring bassist DAUGHTER.

In January 2021 Lita spoke SiriusXM‘s “Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk” that his new album features “some of the best guitar playing” he’s heard “in decades.” He added: “And I’m not blowing smoke up my ass, but Gary and I just nailed it with the guitar playing on that record.

“I’m a big fan of people like that Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter from Alice Cooper‘s “Welcome to my nightmare”. I mean, there are some really great duo guitar players out there – [JUDAS PRIEST‘s] Glenn Tipton, KK Downing… Those guitar players don’t exist anymore – they just don’t exist. If you want to hear them, you have to go back in time a little and dig them up in your favorite library, your favorite music catalog. But I think Gary and I really got on with that next record. It’s like, oh my god. I cry – I just cry listening to this stuff. It’s so lame.”

six years ago, Lita published an autobiography, “Living Like a Fugitive: A Memoir”through Dey street books (previously This Books), imprint HarperCollins Publishing.
