PSU Exam
A Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) is a government-owned corporation or enterprise in India. Public sector enterprises are divided into two categories: Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) and State Public Sector Enterprises (SPSE). CPSEs are majority-owned companies by the central government, while in the case of SPSEs, the majority shareholding is held by the state government.
Age Limit: Age range is 22 to 40 years.
Exam Syllabus: General English, General Appreciation and Reasoning, General Knowledge, Current Affairs.
Exam Dates: Exams are conducted from May to September to admit final year students.
SSC Junior Engineer Exam
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examination is conducted by SSC to fill the posts of Junior Engineer (JE) in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations of Government of India.
Age Limit: It can be up to 30 years.
Exam Syllabus:
Tier-1 – General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness.
Tier-II – Technical Subjects (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering). Candidates should choose any one subject as their technical subject.
Exam Dates: Tier-1 is usually held in the month of March, while Tier-2 is held in September.
UPSC Exam
The Indian Administrative Services (IAS) is the premier administrative service of the Government of India. This is a central civil service cadre. It provides three all-India services: Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service and Indian Forest Service. There is an all India exam for IAS which is administered by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Age Limit: 21 to 32 years.
Syllabus: General Studies in Prelims and Mains consists of General Studies along with optional subjects.
Exam Dates: This year, preliminary exams are scheduled in June and mains in September.
ISRO Exam
One of the toughest exams to clear, ISRO is the central government jobs that require engineering-studied scientists for the vital aspect of research and development of major projects. ISRO conducts examinations for recruitment to all posts in the organization.
Age Limit: 18 years to 35 years.
Syllabus: Arithmetic & Reasoning, English, stream-specific.
Exam Dates: Exams are usually held in the first quarter of the year.
RRB Exam
Railway Recruitment Boards conduct Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examinations to recruit eligible candidates for various posts in Indian Railways. There are many students aiming for a job in Railways which offers exciting allowances and benefits.
