WWE Extends Contract With Hulu, Bianca Belair & Montez Ford Project – WON/F4W | Rare Techy

WWE has extended its contract with Hulu.
Broadcast rights for next day’s WWE Raw will remain with the streaming service after a deal was struck following months of negotiations. WWE announced the news today during its third quarter investor call. The two companies have been operating together since 2012.
WWE CFO and COO Frank Riddick said the Hulu extension is a short-term deal designed to better align with upcoming live rights negotiations.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics believes the short-lived deal is scheduled to expire at the same time WWE’s current TV rights deals expire in September 2024.
“WWE appears to have settled for less money from Hulu in exchange for the deal expiring with live rights in September 2024,” Thurston wrote on Twitter.
Hulu also owns WWE SmackDown next-day rights until at least September 2024. That’s because Fox has sub-licensed all of its day-ahead rights to the streaming service.
In addition, Nick Khan also revealed during today’s investor call that a WWE series focused on Bianca Belair and Montez Ford is also coming to Hulu.
